Post frame buildings are engineered wood frame buildings. They feature large, solid sawn post or laminated columns. Most post frame buildings may utilize trusses, rafters, or laminated lumber to support roof loads, which may be fixed to each post or supported by headers horizontally-placed dimensional lumber-roof purlins and wall, girts that hold the post and trusses together to form the basic frame.
Beatty’s Builders takes a step out of the box. In 2002 Beatty’s Builders innovates a unique new post frame building system. Beatty’s Builders started building the stud wall post frame system in the field. Beatty’s Builders built several custom buildings in a lot of different shapes and sizes, with great intentions of someday manufacturing it. Our buildings are not your cookie cutter design; Beatty’s Builders can build a lot of different styles to fit your appeal and needs. So in 2010 Beatty’s Builders contracted a local designer to draw structural non insulated panels to manufacture them. Beatty’s Builders also contracted a truss and panel manufacture in North Salem, Ohio to manufacture our system, and built the first one in April of this year, and the installation time in the field was cut by 50 %. The installation went extremely well, and we can save about 10% – 30% in comparison to a block foundation structure.
Did you know that a building marked by large wall cavities that can be easily accommodate a substantial amount of insulation from Beatty’s Builders ( niswp ) Non Insulated Structural Wall Panels . Furthermore, imagine that a structure covered with almost any type of external and internal finishes. It could have wood siding, wood log siding, boards & battens, metal siding, vinyl siding, stucco, brick or stone masonry façade. It could have any type of composite shingle, metal or commercial roofing envelope. Post frame buildings are green buildings.
It could serve almost any purpose, from commercial to residential to academic, public, to industrial. It could be a church with a steeple and cathedral ceilings. It could be a library, a fire station, or a school house. It could be a strip mall or a convenience store. Perhaps it looks like a warehouse, a manufacturing facility, an airplane hangar, or even a financial institution. But it looks instead like a nice house, a suburban garage, a spacious barn, a country club, or an office building. It could even be anywhere from one to three stories tall.
Most people who are not familiar with modern construction methods might imagine different types of building to fit the above descriptions. They may conjure up images of their old concrete block school, their brick and mortar church, their mother and fathers stucco home or their local banks limestone entryway, but they might be surprised to know that a savvy builder could easily imagine that all of them could be most quickly and economically erected as post frame buildings.
The Best Value
Post frame buildings are usually the most least expensive type of buildings to erect; however that does not mean they are “cheap” or a poor investment. Quality post frame buildings are a superior investment, when compared to other building types. You can get a post frame building that is good as or better than other types of buildings that meet the same needs at a higher cost.
Unless your goal is to erect the cheapest building possible. Be wary of the lowest bid. Not all post frame buildings are equal quality, or durability. Some unethical builders may erect buildings using incorrect materials, poor workmanship or sub substandard. Even with upgrades in material in material and quality of construction. Post frame building will almost always beat out every other building type available in terms of price. A little more money invested for quality may provide a substantial return in long term value.
Quality components and experience are always important. The best materials and know-how will provide the best long- term value for a building.
